Executive Officers
Our 13 Executive Officers make up the Executive Board. They are responsible for running all the different facets of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. They are also assisted by their individual committees.
President
Megan Tovar is the current Presient of our chapter. She is responsible for the chapter activities and members, as well as managing the executive officers. She plans the Chapter Retreat in the fall, and continually links our Alpha Chi chapter with the National Headquarters. She makes sure new programs, and improvements on existing ones are implemented. Megan is a UT Senior from Austin, Texas studying Textiles & Apparel and Business Foundations.
VP Fraternal Relations
As VP Fraternal Relations, Sara Chamberlin is responsible for the chapter's fraternal education, ritual and ceremony appreciation, philanthropy projects and fundraising. She also oversees the observance of Hera Day and McDowell Month and acts as a liaison between the chapter and alumnae. In the fall, Sara is responsible for coordinating Burnt Orange Bowl, the chapter's annual philanthropic event, which raises money for SafePlace of Austin. She organizes initiation for our new members, plans activities in celebration of our chapter's founding date, and raises awareness for National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. In the Spring, she plans Dad's Weekend and Mom's Weekend. Sara is a junior Chemistry and Pre-Med major.
VP Intellectual Development
Susan Pool is Vice President of Intellectual Development of our chapter. She is responsible for keeping the chapter academically focused and motivated. She maintains the house library and study areas, helps coordinate study plans for members, and encourages the academic development of the chapter. She plans events that link the chapter to the university and keeps lines of communication open between the two. Susan is a junior Kinesiology major at the University of Texas.
VP Communications
Elizabeth Medlin is Vice President of Communication for our chapter. She is responsible for the communication within the chapter and between the chapter and our National Headquarters. She keeps the chapter members up-to-date with all events being planned and oversees inner chapter communication. She runs the chapter list serves, external website, and members only site. Elizabeth is a UT Junior from Fort Worth, Texas and is pursuing a degree in English and Linguistics.
VP Membership Development
As Vice President for Memebership Development, Caroline Baker is responsible for planning social events for the chapter. Caroline is responsible for planning the annual spring formal as well as many other social events in the fall for our members. Caroline is a Nursing major with a minor in Spanish.
VP Education
Bethany Burnett is the current Vice President of Education of our chapter. She is responsible for welcoming the new members into our chapter and helping them get acquainted with being a new Alpha Chi Omega. She plans the New Member Retreat in the fall, and continually works with our newest pledge class. She creates new programs that link new members and old members together. Bethany is currently a junior at UT majoring in Communication Science and Disorders.
VP Risk Management
Ellen Morgan is the current Vice President of Risk Management of our chapter. She is responsible for maintaining and enforcing safety practices for the chapter members. She oversees chapter safety at all Alpha Chi Omega events as well as plans for speakers to educate the sorority about both physical and emotional safety. Ellen is a UT Junior from Rockwall, Texas pursuing a major in Actuarial Science.
VP Chapter Relations and Standards
As VP Chapter Relations and Standards Board (CRSB), Monica Vasquez is responsible for promoting membership standards and responsible behavior of the chapter. This is accomplished through education, a positive points system, disciplinary action, and recognition of members' positive contributions to the chapter, campus, and community. Monica is a junior Public Relations major.
VP Panhellenic Delegate
Libby Bostwick is the Panhellenic Council Voting Delegate. She is a sophomore and originally from Kingwood, Texas. Her duties include acting as the liaison between Alpha Chi Omega and UT Panhellenic and serving on the Community Service Committee for UT Panhellenic. Libby is a Biology and Spanish major.
VP Finance
As VP Finance, Cassie Howell is responsible for the collection of member dues, the composition of executive officer budgets, and the payment of house bills. She works closely with the Alpha Chi Omega Financial Advisor and our Certified Public Accountant to ensure that the house and the girls remain in good standing, financially. Cassie is a Senior Pre-Med student.
Recruitment Chair
Kelly Oberschelp is VP of Formal Recruitment. She is a UT sophomore originally from St. Louis, Missouri but has recently moved to Keller, Texas. She is greatly looking forward to representing Alpha Chi Omega and bringing in another amazing pledge class for the chapter. At UT, Kelly is studying Biology and is Pre-Vet.
Recruitment Chair
Britt Morgan is VP Recruitment Chair. She informs new members of the process and rules of recruitment. She works with her recruitment committee throughout the summer and leads work week and formal recruitment. Britt is from Arlington, Texas and is a Linguistics and French major at UT.
House Manager
Jenny Parchman is the current House Manager. She works with the House Mother and staff to ensure that things run smoothly and efficiently in the Alpha Chi Omega house and is available to address any issues members bring to her in regards to living in the house. In addition, she serves as a liaison between the Alpha Chi Omega Chapter and the House Corps Board at their meetings and is responsible for representing the interests of the chapter on issues concerning the chapter as a home. Jenny is currently pursuing a degree in Advertising.
